New Birmingham children’s commission launched

By Jamie Hailstone | 02 June 2014

The chair of a new independent commission on children’s lives in under-fire Birmingham has said they plan to look at all aspects of growing up in the city.

The inquiry has been commission by Birmingham City Council and will be run by the Children’s Society charity.

Social policy expert Janet Grauberg will chair the commission’s panel. The commission will also use focus groups and surveys to hear the views of young people, youth groups and parents in the city about how the city can improve children’s health and wellbeing.
