Planning reforms would 'silence communities'

MPs have launched a scathing attack on the Government’s planning White Paper proposals, claiming they would ‘silence communities’.

While ministers maintain reforms to the system will make it more accessible to the public, opponents point out communities will have no say on individual planning applications in new growth zones other than when local plans are revised.
