Political battle over National Care Service

Competing visions of the future of social care have been set out by Labour and the Conservatives as they prepare for a General Election.

Social care minister Helen Whately and her shadow counterpart Andrew Gwynne both spelt out 10-year plans for the sector at the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) spring seminar this afternoon.
