Review uncovers ‘gross incompetence’ at Renfrewshire

Renfrewshire Council has been accused of ‘gross incompetence’ by an independent review after leaving a village short of hundreds of school places.

A 440-capacity primary school built to serve the new 4,000-home settlement of Dargavel is projected to run out of places as early as 2023-24.
