SEND support legal requirements relaxed

The Government has used emergency powers to relax requirements for councils supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Changes will be made to the legal requirement for local authorities to fulfil education, health and care (EHC) plans where they are unable to do so due to the demands of reacting to the ‘unprecedented’ coronavirus pandemic.
