When it comes to social care reform the phrases ‘buyer beware’ and ‘never look a gift horse in the mouth’ come to mind.
After waiting years, even decades, for Government action to address this political hot potato the recent announcement of a cap was at least a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, it was a step too far for the Treasury.
