Somerset districts in poll controversy

District councils in Somerset have struck back amid heavy criticism over a controversial poll on reorganisation.

Mendip, Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton and South Somerset have commissioned a countywide vote on rival reorganisation proposals, but an error on the printed material sent to voters directed them to a spoof website mocking the county council’s proposal for a single unitary instead of the genuine One Somerset website.
