Sunderland City Council has said it will have to raid already-earmarked reserves to close a £26m funding gap next year.
Ahead of a consultation on its budget for the next financial year, the council warned its forecast funding for services fell short by some £26m for 2022-23, rising to a total gap of £56.7m over the next four years.
