The next level begins

After 18 months and hundreds of amendments, the Levelling and Regeneration Bill has completed its long, and at times torturous, passage through the Houses of Parliament.

The fraught nature of its journey to Royal Assent perhaps should not be a surprise given the breadth of subjects it covers, from protecting ancient woodland to alternative titles for combined authority ‘mayors’.
