Cutting one in four jobs will not be enough to cover the budget gap at Thurrock BC, officers have concluded.
A report to the council’s scrutiny committee revealed that even if all planned savings are achieved it will not bridge the gap of £34m over the next two years, with £3.9m still remaining outstanding.
