Transforming towns

Councils looking for an example of how to transform their towns into vibrant areas for the 21st century can draw a great deal of inspiration from Roeselare, a town of 60,000 people in Belgium.

That’s exactly what a delegation of 30 district council leaders did recently, alongside high street guru Bill Grimsey, in search of the lessons that have inspired Roesleare’s renaissance.
