Watchdog criticises council's slow pace of improvement

South Ayrshire Council has faced criticism for its pace of improvement from a national watchdog.

Audit Scotland found the authority had ‘made limited progress on key aspects of Best Value,’ highlighting ‘particularly slow progress’ in community, financial and workforce planning, transformation and aspects of community empowerment.
