Western Gateway to become powerhouse for Severn estuary

A third ‘powerhouse’ has been launched by the Government today in an attempt to drive economic growth across south Wales and the west of England.

The launch of the Western Gateway – a strategic partnership to create jobs and boost prosperity in the Severn estuary – follows a similar blueprint to its predecessors, the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine.
