Aberdeen and Glasgow join COSLA rival

Aberdeen and Glasgow city councils have become the first authorities to formally agree to join the new Scottish Local Government Partnership (SLGP).

Aberdeen and Glasgow city councils have become the first authorities to agree to join the new Scottish Local Government Partnership (SLGP).

The new local government representative body – a voluntary association of member councils – is also initially proposed to be made up of South Lanarkshire Council and Renfrewshire Council, which have yet to take their formal decisions to join.
