Westminster City Council Labour group leader, Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg, has claimed that government plans to abolish the right of residents to object to council accounts would allow future financial scandals to go unchecked.

Westminster City Council Labour group leader, Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg, has claimed that government plans to abolish the right of residents to object to council accounts would allow future financial scandals to go unchecked.

‘Taking away this right is a slap in the face for residents and councillors and further evidence that the Government's localism policies are just a load of hot air,' said Cllr Dimoldenberg.
