Accelerating positive change with shared perspectives

Paul Little outlines how the range of new perspectives and experiences he encountered with colleagues throughout England while on the Accelerate course has helped him rise to the challenge of setting up combined health and social care teams.

Social care is complex. We work in a large organisation facing daily complexity. Striving to improve our provision involves many different people being interested in what is happening and multiple layers of decision making.

That complexity is further compounded when we work, as we must, with our partners. With health and social care, we aim to collaborate, coordinate and align our own work with our partners in health, commissioners, providers and primary care.
