Acquiring the full value of policing

Paul Wheeler looks at what British police commissioners can learn from the New York Police.

While I don't want to encourage unnecessary air travel, it may repay some of the Police Commissioner candidates to visit New York as I did recently.

London and New York have approximately the same size of police force but what is immediately evident is the sheer visibility of policing in New York.
