Private operators have warned funding issues cannot be ignored, after council bosses offered talks covering ongoing concerns over care home fees.

The president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, Peter Hay, made the offer at the English Community Care Association's (ECCA) annual conference on 17 November, following a series of legal challenges and the collapse of the Southern Cross care home group.
