Children's minister Edward Timpson has appointed a team of advisers to help turnaround Somerset CC's children's services department, after its second critical Ofsted report in a row.
The team, headed by Essex CC's director of children's services, Dave Hill, has been tasked by Mr Timpson to look at the department's ‘capacity to improve and options for further intervention' and report back to the Government by mid-June.
