Local government contractors have signed off multi-million pound contracts in the wake of the controversial Hinkley Point C nuclear power station deal.

A joint venture between Kier and BAM Nuttall announced it had signed a £203m contract with EDF to provide enabling works around the new station at Hinkley Point.
