Airport decisions in holding pattern

As plans to sell off one council-owned airport appear to have been temporarily grounded, another is ready to take-off.

The MJ reported on 9 March that the sale of Shoreham Airport, which is jointly owned by Brighton and Hove City Council and Worthing BC, to the Erinaceous Group Plc was on track to be completed by 1 April. But the sale has still not yet been completed, and a spokesman for Brighton and Hove said negotiations were still ongoing, and he could not comment any further. A spokesman for the Erinaceous Group said negotiations were ‘progressing' .
