The chief executives' trade union has revealed it already supports officers responding to inspection reports, as mental health fears grow with the emergence of the Office for Local Government (Oflog).
Speaking after the House of Commons' Education Committee criticised single word judgements by Ofsted following the death of primary school headteacher Ruth Perry, honorary secretary of the Association of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers (ALACE), Ian Miller, told The MJ: ‘As a union, we often have to support chief executives and other senior officers in responding to inspectors' reports.
