The Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA) has appointed a new chief executive.

Alison Allen joined NILGA this week, bringing more than 20 years of public service experience including roles at Belfast City Council, Antrim BC, the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland and the NI Assembly.
