An allied approach to success in Oldham

Dr Carolyn Wilkins outlines Oldham MBC’s journey to further health and social care integration and her ambitions for the future. She says it’s time ‘to gain an even deeper understanding of our place, assets and resources’.

Oldham MBC's approach to health and social care integration has gone much further and deeper than many localities in local government and relies heavily on local collaboration and rich intelligence to improve outcomes for residents.

As well as being the chief executive of Oldham MBC, I am also the accountable officer for Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), one of a small number of chief executive officers across the country to hold this dual role.
