Amber Valley decides to delete chief executive role

Amber Valley Borough Council has chosen to delete its chief executive role as part of a cost saving drive.

Amber Valley Borough Council has chosen to delete its chief executive role as part of its ‘Fit For Purpose' cost saving drive.

Following a town hall debate on potential cost reduction opportunities, it was decided that the senior position – currently held by Peter Carney - would be removed and the current executive director of environmental services at the local authority should take on the statutory role of head of paid services.
