'Ambitious plans' rest on better engagement

North Lanarkshire Council needs to better involve and engage with residents and staff to achieve ambitious plans for developing the area and improving services, local authority watchdog, the Accounts Commission, said today.

A report by the watchdog said services such as housing and education were performing well, but the council needed to gain a better understanding of the reasons for falling satisfaction levels, particularly for care services.
