Auditors have warned Thanet DC over the ‘long-term viability' of its Dreamland amusement park after the council increased spending on regenerating the attraction by £1.2m.

Grant Thornton said the future of the site ‘may be open to question,' adding that council investment had been made ‘against a background of significant risk' after the theme park operator entered into administration.
