Anger erupts over SNP's 'centralised' taxation agenda

The Scottish Government has been accused of 'waging war' against local authorities, following reports that it plans to strip them of various powers next year.

Convener of the Scottish Local Government Partnership (SLGP) and Aberdeen City Council leader, Cllr Jenny Laing, said the SNP's ‘centralising agenda knows no bounds' after it was claimed Holyrood ministers were planning to make neighbouring authorities share services and devolve bin collections to individual towns.
