New appointment to help realise West Midlands combined authority

Wolverhampton City Council’s strategic director for community has been appointed chief executive of Dudley MBC to make the authority a ‘national leader in local government’.

Council leaders said mum-of-two Sarah Norman, 52, would be tasked with building on proposals to create a West Midlands combined authority to ‘bring in more money and powers from central government'.
