Arise, Sir Derek

Former bi-borough chief executive knighted in Queen's Birthday Honours List - which also acknowledged individual contributions across local government.

Former Kensington and Chelsea RLBC Derek Myers has been knighted in the latest Queen's Birthday Honours List - Amyas Morse, head of the National Audit Office, also gets a knighthood.

Sir Derek, who is also a former chair of SOLACE, and was also chief at Hammersmith and Fulham, part of the tri-borough partnership with Westminster, retired from his post last year. He was knighted for ‘services to local government in London.'
