Letting local groups register playing fields and village halls as community assets could jeopardise the tradition of philanthropy in the countryside, a pressure group has warned.

The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) said regulations surrounding the community right to bid could make landowners think twice about allowing local people to use their land or buildings.
