Education and skills in North Yorkshire is delivered across 383 schools and in close partnership with further and higher education. We are proud of the successful track record; we are rated highly in inspections and consistently appear amongst the top 10% scoring county councils in the country however we have significant challenges not least due to our rural nature.

We want someone with the ability to deliver exceptional educational opportunities with experience of leading these complex services and clear ability to do so in a large authority. If you are an excellent strategic and operational manager, with a strong background in performance management and partnership working, and you are interested in taking North Yorkshire forward, then we would like to hear from you.

You would be joining, geographically, the largest and amongst the best local authorities in the country at a very challenging and exciting time.
