The sponsor of a £2m programme to create a single ICT platform for London public sector organisations has insisted it was a success despite its closure.

Croydon LBC's interim chief executive, Nathan Elvery, denied he was disappointed some councils had failed to demonstrate enthusiasm for the project.

All London local authorities were invited to take part in the scheme, which aimed to have a pan-London solution operational by March 2016.
