The Tory leader of Shropshire Council has backed calls from neighbouring Telford & Wrekin Council for a fairer funding deal from Whitehall.

Cllr Malcolm Pate said a ‘rethink' was needed over how the Government allocates funding because Shropshire gets £35m less than the average council.
