Local government spending on law firms and barristers has fallen by 10% in the last year, according to new research by Thomson Reuters.

Local government spending on law firms and barristers has fallen by 10% in the last year, according to new research by Thomson Reuters.

Figures released by the law firm showed that councils in the UK spent £156m on external legal services in 2013/14, compared to £174m in the previous year.
