A Conservative peer has claimed Northumberland CC is ‘overwhelmed' by the number of planning applications it is receiving for onshore wind farms.

Speaking during a House of Lords debate on 15 October, Viscount Ridley said the county was doing ‘far, far more than its share' in allowing wind farms to be built on its borders.
