Cambridgeshire CC is looking to renegotiate a 27-year PFI agreement with Amey in a bid to save the local authority more than £10m.

Speaking to The MJ, the county council's executive director of economy, transport and environment, Graham Hughes, said the authority believed ‘significant savings' could be made from the waste disposal contract, which has now been running for seven years and ‘nothing is off the table'.
