The Association of Local Authority Chief Executives (ALACE) has warned Wiltshire Council against its controversial decision to scrap the chief executive's post.

ALACE secretary and Waverley BC chief executive, Mary Orton, told The MJ that abolishing the role could turn out to be ‘a very damaging mistake'.
