London will get its first community council for 50 years, after residents voted in favour of a new body in north-west London.

In a referendum on setting up the Queen's Park Community Council, 1,100 residents voted in favour – with 508 voting against. The creation of new community councils in urban areas was made possible under the Local Government Act 2007.
