Adur and Worthing Councils are recommending that Alex Bailey is appointed as their new shared chief executive when Peter Latham retires at the end of the August.

Mr Bailey, who is head of fundraising strategy at the NSPCC and former director of strategy and governance at Brighton & Hove City Council, will take up the £103,000 post subject to full council approval.
