An ex-chief executive of Islington LBC, Local Partnerships and consultancy iMPOWER has been appointed interim boss and head of paid service at North Somerset Council.

Helen Bailey will arrive at North Somerset in time for a two-week handover before the departure of current chief executive Mike Jackson, who has been appointed as executive director for resources and head of paid service at Bristol City Council.
