Construction giant Balfour Beatty has confirmed it is looking to partner with a number of local authorities under the Government's Green Deal scheme.
In a statement, the company confirmed it was in discussions with councils ‘in a move that could see thousands of energy-efficient measures installed in homes across the country' for the Green Deal initiative and the Government's ECO programme. The home improvement programme received a further boost last week when the Department for Energy and Climate Change announced it was loaning £7m to the Green Deal Finance Company to ensure it was ready to offer finance to providers in the new year.
