When he meets The MJ, Cllr Rishi Shori, the leader of Bury MBC, has just been on a tour of the area to pick out a site for a statute of Victoria Wood.

The comedienne, who died earlier this year, was a Bury girl and a crowd-funded project by her brother – who was with Cllr Shori on the tour – has raised the cash for a memorial in her memory.
