In recent years, there has been an increase in media coverage depicting widespread instances of workplace incivility, such as bullying, harassment and discrimination.

In April this year, Gloucestershire CC sparked concerns in the media following a staff survey, which indicated around 10% of its employees had personally encountered a form of workplace incivility.
