Barnet chief leaves after electoral 'shambles'

Barnet LBC chief executive Andrew Travers will leave the council after an election blunder meant scores of voters were turned away from polling stations.

Barnet LBC chief executive Andrew Travers will leave the council after an election blunder meant scores of voters were turned away from polling stations.

A council spokesman said Mr Travers' departure was decided ‘by mutual agreement' following Thursday's elections, which were branded a ‘shambles' after the authority sent out the wrong electoral lists to all 155 of its polling stations.
