Baroness Ritchie of Brompton, an influential figure at the Kensington and Chelsea RLBC, who oversaw the council's outstanding children's services department, has died.

Elected to Brompton ward in May 1998, Shireen Ritchie was an active and influential local councillor and leading member of the Conservative Party.
