Owzat! West Dorset DC has handed over running of a cricket pitch and pavilion to Charlton Down Cricket Club.

Club chairman, Richard Mann, said: 'The pitch has actually been here for a century or more but, for the first time, it is going into community hands.'
Displaying her skills with a cricket bat council chairman, Mary Penfold, said: 'I am pleased that we can hand over the pavilion and pitch to the club, and wish them all the best for the future.'
