Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have raised serious concerns at four services run by the Castlebeck Care Group, in a report triggered by the Winterbourne View abuse scandal.

The group, which runs 23 facilities comprising 11 mental health hospitals and 12 social care centres, has been asked to prove how it would make improvements to ensure a further seven services met essential standards.
