Balfour Beatty's road management and maintenance company RCS has won extensions on two local authority contracts valued at £170m which will takes its forward order book to more than £900m.

A four year extension to the highways maintenance contract with North Yorkshire CC will be worth £140m and in Hampshire  RCS has secured a one year extension to its road contract worth £30m.
