The number of hospital bed days lost because social care services are not available has risen by almost a third in two years, a leading charity has warned.

The number of hospital bed days lost because social care services are not available has risen by almost a third in two years, a leading charity has warned.

New research by Age UK claimed the number of lost days had increased by 28.4% since January 2014 and warned that without urgent action the situation was likely to get far worse.
